Nigel Farage is set to hold a major rally this evening has he plans a bombshell announcement about key elections next year.

The Reform UK leader is set to speak in Llandudno, north Wales, at 7pm, as he plots Reform’s path to victory in the Senedd elections next year.

The party is hoping to have a bombshell showing in the Welsh parliament elections next May, which could topple Labour from power for the first time since the assembly was established in 1999.

Should Reform pull off a stunning upset, it’s widely expected it would be used by opponents of Sir Keir Starmer to launch a leadership coup and remove him from No. 10.

It’s also expected that Mr Farage will publicly address the recent conviction of Reform’s short-lived former leader in Wales, Nathan Gill, for taking bribes from an ally of Russia’s President Putin.
