Donald Trump makes huge error on TV as fans say โ€˜his brain’s brokenโ€™ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

Donald Trump has sparked concern with viewers at home after he detailed plans for his Arc de Triomphe-style monument in Washington, DC. The US President is aiming to mark the 250th anniversary of the United States and has teased the idea of a massive ceremonial arc to reporters. On Sunday, Trump told the press: “There’s a group of people out there that have been very successful and we’ve already starting talking to them.” Trump then proceeded to say and mispronounce: “We’re building an arc like the Arc de Triomphe. It’s something that will be so special. It will be like the one in Paris. But to be honest with you, it blows it away in every way.”ย

Fans have reacted online to Trump’s tease and noted his mispronunciation. One person said: “He mispronounces it, misunderstands it, and still thinks itโ€™ll be historic. Somewhere, the dictionary has left the chat.”

A second also joked: “While in French, it’s pronounced Arc, he is totally confusing it with what it is, an arch.”

A third also echoed: “The hilarious part is that NO ONE tries to correct him!” A fourth also commented: “Itโ€™s Arc in French. You know. Arc in French is Arch in English. I mean. Duuuuuurrrrrr.”

A fifth also typed online: “Whatโ€™s new?? Every day itโ€™s something idiotic. He canโ€™t even pronounce โ€œArc de Triomphe.โ€ He has no idea what it stands for either.”

Meanwhile, according to CBS News, when asked who the Washington D.C. arch was being built for, Trump pointed at himself and replied, “me.”

However, Trump did not specify the cost of the arch or its funding source. He is referring to the Arc de Triomphe, which was constructed between 1806 and 1836 at the western end of the Champs-ร‰lysรฉes in Paris. It was built to commemorate the soldiers who lost their lives in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars.
