LOS ANGELES โ Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr was ejected from Mondayโs 103-102 loss against the Los Angeles Clippers after arguing with referees in the fourth quarter.
Kerrโs frustration with the officiating had been boiling throughout the game, but a sequence just before the ejection pushed his temper over the edge. Warriors star guard Stephen Curry put up a circus shot with 8:44 left in regulation that somehow went in, but the officials didnโt allow Curryโs basket to count. Kerr started screaming at each official individually as the Warriorsโ bench stood up in disbelief at the lack of continuation given to Curry.
A few moments later, with 8:01 left, Kerr went ballistic after Clippers big man John Collins wasnโt called for goaltending after a Gary Payton II shot attempt at the rim. He went on the floor angrily gesturing at the officials and screaming. Kerr was given his first technical foul, and then quickly picked up another one. Kerr continued arguing and had to be held back by members of his coaching staff. It was the angriest he has been on the floor all season.

After continuing to yell for another few seconds, Kerr turned around and walked back to the Warriorsโ locker room. It was Kerrโs first ejection and fourth technical foul of the season.
Curry later fouled out of the game with just over a minute left in regulation after going for a rebound against Clippers guard Kris Dunn. It was the first time Curry fouled out of a game since Dec. 17, 2021, against the Boston Celtics, according to Basketball Reference. It was the 13th time in Curryโs career that he had fouled out of a game.
The Warriors battled back from a 94-81 deficit and had a final shot to win the game, but Jimmy Butlerโs 17-foot, turnaround, fadeaway shot missed and the Clippers held on to win 103-102.
