Tory drops huge hint they could defect to Reform after Suella Braverman | Politics | News
He shared a picture of himself with Mrs Braverman as the pair both held turquoise ice creams – the colour of Reform – during the 2024 general election campaign. Lord Frost said: “It was great to campaign with Suella Braverman back at the 2024 election. We’ve always seen things the same way.”
There has been ongoing rumours that Lord Frost, who is on the right of the Tory Party, could switch to Reform, with his post sparking renewed speculation.
Lord Frost previously did not rule out a move to Reform, saying he was “waiting” for a “party on the Right that can deliver meaningful Right-wing, principled policies”.
It comes after Mrs Braverman was unveiled as Reform’s newest recruit at the party’s veterans rally yesterday.
Speaking at a press conference alongside Mr Farage on Monday evening, she said she had had “not taken this decision lightly”.
She added: “If the party you joined no longer reflects the values and principles that it once did, you should question your allegiance. If the party keeps breaking its promises, you should question your loyalty.
“And now too many promises lie in tatters. Too much damage has been done, and I no longer trust the Conservative Party.”
She follows a string of other high-profile Tory defections including ex-immigration minister Robert Jenrick.
