Gutless Keir Starmer has gravely diminished us – like Dad’s Army on steroids | Politics | News

‘Starmer’s incompetence is like Dad’s Army on steroids!’ storms Carole Malone (Image: Daily Express / BBC)
Keir Starmer must surely know how much the British people are laughing at him. He must know we see his fear, his delusion and his abject incompetence at dealing with what’s happening in Iran. He must know his pleas for Trump to negotiate with Iran – among the world’s foremost state sponsors of terror – reduce him to the level of Britain’s appeaser-in-chief, Neville Chamberlain, who would have sold us out to the Nazis back in the 30’s had he got his weaselly way.
So, Starmer fiddles while Iran burns and our allies in the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait are screaming about him having done nothing to protect them – or the 240,000 Brits living in their countries. Canada and Australia, who voiced their immediate support for the Iran attack, are shouting: “What side is Britain on?”
Republicans Stateside are urging Trump to ditch Britain as an ally because of our PM’s initial refusal to grant access to just two of our bases. And all Starmer can do is make silly, grandstanding speeches telling us he’s in total control of the situation and is providing “calm, level-headed leadership” when it’s clear to the world he’s floundering. Yet still he spouts his delusional nonsense about “being in charge” as countries much less well armed than ours rush to protect OUR interests and OUR people in Cyprus because he can’t.

Thanks to him, Britain can’t even launch a single warship because only one of the six we have is operational. And even HMS Dragon, which is supposed to be Cyprus-bound, can’t set sail because until a couple of days ago it was covered in scaffolding and so won’t be there for another week.
As one MP said: “It’s like Nelson turning up a week late for the Battle of Trafalgar.” Because our weasel PM and his cowardly cabinet dithered and put their hatred of Trump – who’s doing the West’s dirty work for it – above Britain’s interests in Cyprus and elsewhere, countries like Greece, Italy and Spain are now having to protect it. Even the Netherlands which has negligible military might despatched frigates to help.
But Starmer’s incompetence and his slashing of defence spending means the Royal Navy – which once used to rule the waves – can’t even get a single boat out of Portsmouth. He couldn’t even manage to get the first rescue flight bringing Brits home from the Middle East out on time. There was a 14-hour delay because of technical glitches and because the pilot needed a rest. It’s like Dad’s Army on steroids!
So desperate was he not to get involved in this conflict he begged his old mate, Attorney General Lord Hermer, to give him a legal get out and we’re told he was then bullied by the loon Ed Miliband and Rachel from Accounts who led the cabinet revolt in stopping Trump from using our bases. The floppy pacifist Miliband even supposedly questioned whether a “positive relationship with the US” was a good thing right now.
Well, as we could be on the brink of World War Three, I’d say a big fat yes! As a former defence chief said this week: “The UK is only kept safe by three things – nuclear weapons, Nato and having the US as an ally.” Now, thanks to Starmer, we’re in danger of losing all three. Because of his weasel actions this week, Britain is now an irrelevance on the world stage and will never again be taken seriously as a military force.
Trump, who has slammed him as a loser and “no Churchill” won’t talk to him, our allies worldwide are raging and Starmer allowed all this to happen because he needed to placate Labour’s hard-Left and Muslim voters. In short, he put his own political survival above the safety and security of the British people.
Britain has always punched above its weight. It’s not so long ago we were a premier global military power with a Navy unrivalled in its supremacy. Now at the hands of this government, we cower in the face of murderous regimes with weak, stupid people making military decisions and our nation’s interests – but most importantly our citizens around the world – are now in danger thanks to the most gutless Prime Minister in history.
Starmer is Captain of a sinking ship that can’t defend itself and he has isolated us to the point where, if we’re in trouble, the Leader of the Free World will tell us to go hang! So, while Iran desperately needs regime change – so does Britain!
