Five reasons Keir Starmer is the most useless PM ever โ€“ worst legacy | Politics | News

Itโ€™s easier to destroy than create, to spend money than make it, to pontificate than deliver and to dither than be decisive. Keir Starmer has discovered all of the above in short order as Prime Minister and sadly so have we under his rule. Never has a man been so out of his depth. And now with Starmer on the ropes and his premiership in jeopardy, Keir is desperately in search of a legacy before he is dumped by his own MPs. Going down in history as the most unpopular and useless Prime Minister ever is not what is on his mind.

Heโ€™s failed on growth and job creation, on house building and energy, on smashing the gangs and education so there is no legacy there. Which means he will turn, like other leaders have before him, to something which can easily be voted through in parliament but which will have a devastating impact on the public when they leave office.

A prime example is net zero targets โ€“ they make a politician feel important and popular in the moment but impoverishes the public for generations to come. It looks like Starmer is intent on delivering his legacy through the legal system, the world he knows best.

Just as Blair disastrously dismantled democracy by taking power from Parliament and Ministers, putting it into the hands of left leaning nonentities through the proliferation of unaccountable quangos it seems Starmer wants his lasting legacy to be destroying the best of our judicial system and the cherished freedoms which go hand in hand.

Last week he took a step closer to restricting jury trials, a cornerstone of the justice system. Yet Starmer โ€“ who was a strong supporter of juries until he became Prime Minister โ€“ now seems not to care. Just like Blair โ€“ who cared nothing for our history, traditions and hard won freedoms โ€“ Starmer has no sense of being a custodian to protect the things we hold precious in this country. There are no shibboleths he is not prepared to dismantle, because like many lefties โ€“ he is ashamed of our country, not proud of it.

Unlike Blair though, Starmer is a useless politician. Whatever you thought of his politics, Blair was a charismatic, persuasive, cunning leader who knew what he wanted to do. โ€˜No idea Keirโ€™ has none of those qualities.

I think we have all lost count of the number of U-turns Starmer has performed, and I can safely predict that this ham-fisted attempt to vandalise trial by jury will also see a handbrake turn performed. Even if his hitherto supine backbenchers donโ€™t muster the courage to stop it, you can bet your bottom dollar that the House of Lords will.

So why does Starmer invest so much political capital pursuing unpopular policies that will never see the light of day? I suggest itโ€™s because he has no beliefs or guiding principles. He is a purposeless Prime Minister and the more desperate he is to find his legacy the more dangerous his actions are becoming. The sooner he goes the better and the less harm he can inflict on our country.

Anne Hathaway

Anne looks great to me

The beautiful Anne Hathaway grabbed this yearโ€™s Oscar headlines for all the wrong reasons, with many saying the Devil Wears Prada star had overdone the face work. Famous celebrities judged by their looks canโ€™t win โ€“ criticised for too much plastic surgery on one hand, or for letting themselves go on the other. To me she looked great and Iโ€™ll be asking her where she got her work done!

What a bunch of clowns!

Labour has announced employers will receive a ยฃ3,000 tax subsidy for hiring under 25-year-olds who have been on universal credit benefit for more than six months.

So we have the ludicrous situation of Labour pushing up taxes on businesses and forcing young people out of work, and then forcing up everyone elseโ€™s taxes to provide a subsidy to pay employers to hire the young people Labour forced out of work in the first instance. What a set of clowns.

St Jess isn’t quite the straightalker after all

Jess Philips, the holier than thou Labour MP who never stops telling us how much she has done to help women suffering violence and domestic abuse from men, appeared on Good Morning Britain to defend Starmer for appointing Peter Madelson as US ambassador despite knowing he remained in contact and a friend of convicted paedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein. She is also doing the governmentโ€™s bidding by kicking the promised rape gang inquiry as far into touch as possible.

So much for womenโ€™s rights. It seems St Jess โ€“ who has tried to cultivate an image over the years as a straight talker โ€“ no longer hides putting her political ambition first, just as those who have seen her at close quarters have always known.

Shops shiould be safe places

What on earth were staff at the Zara store in Bristol thinking when they refused to help a 14-year-old girl who sought refuge in their shop when running away from a large group of bullies? On turfing her out of the shop she was brutally set upon.

Why didnโ€™t they offer her shelter and call the police? I’ve always thought if I was ever running away from someone I’d run into a crowded stop where surely there would be people to help.

Apparently not. It seems my confidence in the good nature of others was misplaced.

Perhaps the staff there should be turfed out onto the streets themselves after behaving so appallingly.

Lefties everywhere force the rest of us to pay for dumb actions

Left wing activists ‘Take Back Power’ have launched an idiotic shoplifting spree campaign. Their aim is to ‘liberate produce’ from supermarkets โ€“ stealing to you and me โ€“ in order toโ€œtax the rich to fix Britainโ€.

What these headcases don’t grasp is that they won’t be taxing the rich, they will be raising the food prices for other shoppers and putting ordinary workers’ jobs at risk.

There should be zero tolerance for theft. If they want to donate food to food banks, then they should buy the food with their own money and do just that. Typical of lefties forcing everyone else to pay for their dumb actions.
