Matt Baker: Oklahoma, 24-17. I was skeptical about Michigan entering the season, and Week 1 did nothing to ease my concerns. Oklahoma’s defense will give Bryce Underwood fits to win a game that never feels in jeopardy for the Sooners.

Austin Green: Oklahoma, 27-10. Western Michigan’s defense is better than many give it credit for, but Underwood showed nothing last week to indicate he’s ready to face a Brent Venables-coached defense again. John Mateer doesn’t light up the scoreboard but does enough for a comfortable Sooners road win.

Manny Navarro: Oklahoma, 26-13. Oklahoma’s defense is nasty. The Sooners led the country in both sacks per game (3.5) and tackles for loss per game (9.4) last season and opened 2026 by holding UTEP to 198 yards. Michigan’s defense will keep the Big House interested, but it won’t stop fans from booing their $12 million quarterback. Mateer, meanwhile, accounts for three touchdowns, including two in the second half as Oklahoma forces two more Underwood turnovers and holds Michigan out of the end zone until the game has already been decided.
