Labour faces mounting calls to deport a dangerous ISIS terrorist being allowed to stay on human rights grounds. Iraqi Mohammed Yaseen, who arrived by small boat, was a member of an Al Qaeda group that beheaded Briton Ken Bigley before joining ISIS and a unit that carried out executions and public stonings.

Yaseen has been described as an extremist who poses โ€œa danger to the whole of the UKโ€. He was spotted walking out of a Co-op near Windsor Castle and was living in a bail hostel nearby.

And the Foreign Office has reportedly raised concerns that he will face โ€œmistreatmentโ€ if he is deported to Iraq.

Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp told the Express: “It is absurd that Mohammed Yaseen, a known member of Al Qaeda and ISIS, has been allowed to remain in the UK and may now be protected from being returned to his home country, despite the serious threat he poses.

โ€œThis is yet another example of Labour failing to take the safety of the British people seriously, while expecting taxpayers to foot the bill. That the Foreign Office is worried he could be mistreated if he is sent home beggars belief.

โ€œPeople in Windsor and across the country deserve the confidence that their security comes first. If Labour were serious about protecting the public, they would move swiftly to deport Yaseen.โ€

Some fear it could cost taxpayers ยฃ85,000 a year to house and support Yaseen.

Prosecutor Steven Molloy told Winchester Crown Court at his trial for illegally entering the country that Yaseen had a โ€œlengthy involvement in terrorism and Islamic extremist ideologyโ€.

In 2020, a court in Germany heard that Yaseen was involved in bomb attacks that killed US troops in Iraq.

The Islamist also operated as a security guard for ISIS during beheadings and at least two mass executions where the victims included children.

Yaseen was one of 80 people intercepted by Border Force as they crossed the Channel last December. He gave officials a false name and was initially housed in a taxpayer-funded migrant hotel in Basingstoke, but routine biometric checks revealed his true identity.

A couple accused of being ‘adulterers’ were stoned to death, with Yaseen controlling the crowds who came to witness the killings, the documents claim. German prosecutors also said Yaseen guarded two ‘mass executions’ held by ISIS.

Reform UK Shadow Home Secretary Zia Yusuf said: โ€œItโ€™s beyond belief that the Government expects taxpayers to fund the stay of a man who joined groups that openly beheaded and executed our citizens.

โ€œForeign terrorists who clearly hate our way of life should not be entitled to our hospitality. Mohammed Yaseen must be deported immediately.โ€

The German Government attempted to deport him back to Iraq, but a judge ruled there was a real risk that he could be mistreated or even executed.

He was taken back to prison shortly after being spotted outside the Co-op for breaching his licence arrangements.
