CNN halts for breaking news as host makes ’emotional’ Trump statement | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

CNN was interrupted for a breaking news update as Scott Jennings got emotional reflecting on witnessing Trump bring peace to the Middle East. During the segment, Scott labelled Trumpโs achievement the cornerstone of everything unfolding in the world right now. He said: “My heart couldn’t be more full. The United States of America today, and its president, Donald Trump is at the forefront of the most important thing going on in this world: the release of these hostages and the possibility of a standing peace in the Middle East, where there simply just hasnโt been any.โ
He added: “As an American, the fact that weโre leading this effort, that weโre leading this coalition, that the president was able to bring the Arab states together, to get Netanyahu and that relationship they have in line enough to pull this offโI mean, it makes my heart so full that this is the power of the United States of America.”
CNN contributor Scott concluded with: โThis is what makes us the most unique country and the most important superpower in the world.โ
One person agreed with him and said on X: “I donโt think Iโve been as emotional as I was seeing those reunions since Charlie Kirk. Both affected me for the rest of my life, actually changed me.”
A second also commented: “Thank you Scott. Our citizens should have no other thought than itโs glorious to bring hostages home after all these days.”
However, one person disagreed and argued: “Impressive for sure, although thinking there will be a lasting peace in that area seems a little naive. I hope I’m wrong.”
It comes after the conservative commentator lashed out on Friday on CNN after Trump lost out on the Nobel Peace Prize. Jennings argued that Trump “deserved” to win, but on Friday, the Nobel Committee awarded the prize to Marรญa Corina Machado, a Venezuelan politician who led the pro-democracy movement in her country last year.
Scott hit out at fellow panelist Jamal Simmons for providing a counterargument. Simmons argued: โDonald Trump is the most politically powerful president of my lifetime, and yet he plays the victim.
โItโs just not a good look. I wish he would just sort of grow into the role a little bit. And Iโll tell you, Iโm not a Democrat who roots for Donald Trumpโs failure.โ
He continued: โYouโve got all this disarray happening at home, and itโs so hard for people who want to root for American success to root for Donald Trump, because Donald Trump is doing both of these things at the same time.”
Scott then lashed out: โI agree with everything you just said โ itโs hard for Democrats to root for Americaโs success, because theyโre so broken by Donald Trump. This is the core problem of the Democratic Party … you cannot bring yourself to root for America because Donald Trump is the president.โ
