Filming for the new TV adaptation of Harry Potter has been spotted on a street in Hertfordshire.

A fan captured a scene being shot featuring Daniel Rigby, who has been cast as muggle Vernon Dursley, bumping into a man in a purple cloak in Hoddesdon.

The new HBO show, based on JK Rowling’s best-selling series of novels, stars 11-year-old Dominic McLaughlin as the boy wizard.

The series is expected to launch in 2027.
