GB News explodes into tense migrant row as host fumes ‘nobody’s listening!’ | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV

A frosty exchange took place on GB News between host Stephen Dixon and guest Andy Williams as the pair clashed over anti-migrant hotel protests. The heated debate boiled over when Andy argued that if individuals want to make their case and protest, they should do it outside Parliament. However, Stephen cut him off and said: “Nobody’s listening outside of Parliament!” He then referred to the farmer’s protest, where people came in their thousands outside Parliament, and Stephen said: “What difference did that make?” Andy replied: “That’s a different issue.”

It comes after anti-immigration demonstrators have continued to protest in Epping on Thursday evening. The Home Office argued that the rights of migrants weigh more than those of local residents in their bid to keep an asylum seeker hotel open.

The Bell Hotel in Epping, Essex, has been at the centre of protests over the summer after two of its guests were charged with sexual offences.

More protests unfolded yesterday evening as crowds shouted “go home” and “send them back”, as reported by The Telegraph. One individual told the publication: “Itโ€™s all kicking off. We are so angry. We wonโ€™t stop.”

It comes as Epping Forest District Council last week won a bid at the Highย Court to block asylum seekers from being housed at The Bell Hotel.

The temporary injunction required the hotel to be cleared of its residents by September 12. However, Somani Hotels’ owners and the Home Office are now seeking permission to challenge the ruling.

The Home Office is also reportedly planning to appeal the judge’s decision not to let it intervene in the case.

One person reacted ot the debate and said on X: “Why? Our politicians are barely ever there and the problem isn’t based there either, it’s based in the hotels in our communities. These protests can be stopped at any time by our govt stopping taking in illegals from the Channel. They’re choosing not to.”

A second also chimed in: “People protest where they feel the impactโ€”not where politicians pretend to listen. If Parliament wants protests at its door, it must first prove itโ€™s hearing the people in the streets.”
