Keir Starmer is Inaction Man โ€“ and he’s using his failure to break key Brexit promise | Politics | News

The Prime Minister must be allergic to action. On Wednesday, we were treated to another pointless press conference from Keir Starmer. He had nothing new to say on how he would cut peopleโ€™s bills or protect jobs.

Meanwhile, household prices are rising, the cost of petrol and diesel is soaring, and energy bills are set to increase further still.
Families and businesses I speak to are being hammered. On Wednesday, a manufacturing business in my constituency stopped production, costing 200 well-paid jobs. But inaction man, Keir Starmer, has no plan to help.

Instead, he shamelessly used his failure to address the war in Iran as a justification to break another promise and rejoin the single market. This was his goal all along, he just wouldnโ€™t be straight with the British people at the General Election.

We were told that Starmer will organise an EU summit in the coming weeks. At this point, the Government has had more summits than the Himalayas. We need fewer talking shops with the EU and a lot more action here at home.

Nigel Farage and I understand how tough it is for Express readers right now. We have developed the most comprehensive plan of any political party to give you some much-need relief.

We would drill in the North Sea for our own oil and gas. We would reverse Rachel Reevesโ€™s planned fuel duty increase. And we would take VAT and green subsidies off energy bills to save households ยฃ200 โ€“ paid for cutting Ed Milibandโ€™s net zero madness.

But we know you canโ€™t wait until the next election for relief.

Thatโ€™s why weโ€™re demanding Rachel Reeves makes an emergency cut in VAT while the war in Iran continues. Countries like Australia, Spain and Sweden have done so to help their citizens in the last week. Why wonโ€™t our Chancellor?

The Government should be on your side. But right now itโ€™s full of bystanders who dither and delay.

In just five weeks time you will have a chance to send a message to Keir Starmer. If you are fed up with his inaction, vote Reform.
