Keir Starmer issues ‘testify’ demand on Andrew ‘heaping pressure on Royal Family’ | Politics | News

“So, whether it’s Andrew or anybody else, anybody who has got relevant information should come forward to whatever the relevant body is, in this particular case, we’re talking about Epstein, but there are plenty of other cases. Anybody who has got information relating to any aspect of violence against women and girls has, in my view, a duty to come forward, whoever they are.” Sir Keir added: “One of the core principles in our system is that everybody is equal under the law, and nobody is above the law, and it is really important that this is applied across the board. That is the principle. It’s a long-standing principle, it’s a very important principle of our country, our society, and it applies, and it has to apply in this case, in the same way as it would apply in any other case.”

It said they have “limited information available” to them and are encouraging anyone with information “in relation to these allegations” to come forward. A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “After reviewing our systems using the limited information available to us, we found no evidence of these allegations being reported to Surrey Police. We therefore encourage anyone with information in relation to these allegations to report this to us online, or via 101. We take all reports of child and sexual abuse seriously and therefore, as with any other matter, should new and relevant information be brought to our attention, including any information resulting from the release of materials in the US, we will assess it. Where relevant, and via the national co-ordination group, we will engage with law enforcement agencies to obtain access to further information which may support our enquiries.”

Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has always strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Claims have been made suggesting that Epstein’s victims were flown into Stansted Airport on the Lolita Express. It is thought that up to 90 flights touched down at the airport’s private terminal, with 15 occurring after the US financier was imprisoned in 2008 for child sex offences.
