Keir Starmer’s Britain haunted by one burning question that should worry Brexiteers | Politics | News

The events of the past few weeks should be making it painfully obvious as to what the intentions of this abysmal government are concerning our relationship with the EU. So, what does a โ€œresetโ€ of relations with the EU really look like in practice? Since this government took office, we have witnessed countless surrenders and capitulations to a succession of EU โ€œdemandsโ€ and general Two-Tier obsequiousness.

We have surrendered twelve years access to OUR fisheries when the EU only sought four; we have re-entered the Erasmus student exchange programme at great cost to our long-suffering taxpayers, with prices of membership set to nearly double this coming year; and most egregious of all, we have surrendered effective sovereignty over British territory in Gibraltar. Last, but by no means least, we have been forced into alignment with the EU net zero agenda, which is another bleep-up in the making.

There is now a rising crescendo of senior labour cabinet ministers calling for the UK to re-enter the EU customs union. The two circus clowns Streeting and Lammy are especially vociferous about even closer ties with the EU.

And there are also rumblings within trade union circles for full re-integration of the UK into the EU. And all this whilst contributing vast sums of money into the Brussels coffers to be spent for God knows what.

The member states of the European Union are the sickos of the global economy, loaded with red tape whilst lacking any meaningful accountability to their constituents.

Running our economy into the ground with disproportionately punitive taxation in clear breach of their recent election manifesto, Two-Tier presides over a totally shambolic administrative cluster-bleep.

Surely to goodness these muppets canโ€™t be that thick; the PM cannot possibly be that much of an idiot. Or can they? Or might it be for other reasons?

Mindful of all this the burning question of โ€œwhyโ€ starts to loom very large. What is the purpose? And what has actually been achieved so far by way of tangible benefit to the country as a whole?

Growth growth growth was a rallying cry often heard from the Princess of Thieves. How can a recipe containing the ingredients of punitive taxes, bumper unsustainable public sector pay rises, zero employment incentive workersโ€™ rights legislation, wrapped up in a straitjacket of glaringly absent welfare reform turn the UK into a top performing global leading economy? Answer: it cannot.

So, what is the real reason for this suicidal approach to fiscal policy? Align with the EU; make a mockery of the Brexit opportunities, which of course this lot are too lazy to pursue anyway because it actually takes some effort and hard work, and hey prestoโ€ฆ.. letโ€™s rejoin the EU, shall we?

Make no mistake, Possums, this seemingly moronic handling of the UKโ€™s economy could be viewed as a deliberate act of sabotage, as a pretext to rejoining the EU.

Voluntary vassalage is betrayal, end of. Weโ€™re being softened up for re-integration into the European experiment when there is absolutely no mandate whatsoever to do so.

But then of course we are led by a shameless opportunist; a loathsome individual who welcomes terrorists with open arms, and for whom free speech is a gross inconvenience.

Two-Tier flips policy more than a beached flounder, and he lies. Struts his stuff on the world stage, constantly wearing that po-faced look of a constipated womble; an embarrassment to himself and the country he miserably fails to govern.

Whereโ€™s the evidence for these assertions? He told the Beebโ€™s Sunday, with Laura Kuenssberg: โ€œI think we should get closer, and if it’s in our national interest to have even closer alignment with the single market, then we should consider that โ€“ we should go that farโ€.

He went on: โ€œThere are other areas where we should consider if it’s in our interest to do the same and align with the single market,” adding: โ€œWe take a sovereign decision whether we align or not. I think it’s in our national interest to go furtherโ€.

These words are clear and explicit. It is obviously the declared intention of this PM is to bring us back into the EU if, in his view, it serves our national interest. Oh, but there would be no return to the customs union or free movement.

In practice this arrangement in principle would be doomed to failure, would it not? How can you align with the EU single market and NOT be a part of the customs union? And the EU have a clear red line on single market access too, namely it comes with a non-negotiable commitment to freedom of movement. Oh well, lets just rejoin then.

But the biggest headaches for this clown of a prime minister are the legal and political consequences of such opportunistic recklessness. There is the 2016 referendum on our EU membership which was a plebiscite from the people of this country.

Non-binding legally at the time of the result it might have been, but it was subsequently the basis applied for our withdrawal from EU membership which is legally binding as it was subsequently ratified by an act of parliament.

As recently as last month Number 10 said the Government would stick to its ‘red lines’ on the EU, including not rejoining the single market, customs union or returning to freedom of movement. Potential political suicide, which many would welcome, but which would see further damage inflicted in the interim.

This also comes after Two-Tier broke manifesto pledges not to increase National Insurance or increase income tax. The last two budgets delivered by the Princess of Thieves lay bare the hypocrisy and lies of this government, which is set for a repeat over the question of relations with the EU.

Mocking the democratic process has consequences. Pro-actively holding these muppets to account in court might be worth a thought, donโ€™t you think?
