Reform UK have accused the Met Police of allowing Green Party leader Zack Polanski to get away with “inciting murder” as they slam “two tier Britain. It comes after Britain’s biggest police force revealed they would not be taking action after the eco-socialist politician shared an image featuring a guillotine alongside the word ‘Nigel’.

A Reform UK spokesman told the Daily Express: “Once again we see that we are living in two tier Britain. Zack Polanski is allowed to get away with inciting murder whilst ordinary people up and down the country get a knock at the door making a joke online.”

Nigel Farage’s Party reported Mr Polanski to the Police after the Green Party leader shared a post on the social media network Instagram. That post, which he has now deleted, showed a photo of a man wearing a t-shirt with an image of a guillotine and the slogan “we’re only making plans for Nigel”.

In an update released this evening the force said that it was “unlikely that the sharing of the image online would constitute a criminal offence.” But Reform UK have responded with fury saying this is an example of “two tier” policing in the UK with “ordinary people up and down the country get a knock at the door making a joke online.”

Zia Yusuf, Reform UKs shadow home secretary fumed “the Police have confirmed they will take NO action against Zack Polanski for sharing a photo of a man wearing a T-shirt calling for the beheading of Nigel Farage.”

This was, he said “PROOF of two tier policing in Britain” adding “just imagine if it had been the other way round.”

He had previously said that the police would “have declared open season on Members of Parliament” if Mr Polanski was not placed into police custody.

Last night the Green Party leader refused to apologise for the post seven times during an interview with the BBC. When asked he responded: “If I had done it deliberately, I would be apologising but because this was a mistake, I think the important thing is that I point out it’s a mistake, that I also make sure that I condemn political violence and also, crucially, I make a commitment to be better on my social media.”

Speaking at the time he said the Police had not contacted him, despite a Metropolitan Police spokesman saying the force was “conducting inquiries” and took “reports of this nature extremely seriously”.

A spokesman for Mr Polanski previously said: “After attending a public event, Zack accepted a request to collaborate on a post with several images.

“Once this image was brought to his attention, he immediately unshared the post. He unequivocally does not support this type of dangerous message.”
