Nigel Farage breaks silence on Ukraine peace plan – ‘Unacceptable’ Trump demand | Politics | News

Nigel Farage has broken his silence on Donald Trump’s 28-point peace plan for Ukraine, criticising one “unacceptable” demand from the US President. The plan proposed by Mr Trump to end the Russia-Ukraine war has attracted widespread criticism, most notably from Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Ukrainian President had warned that his country faces a choice between losing its dignity and risking the loss of a key partner, as outlined in the peace plan. In a 10-minute address to the nation from outside the presidential palace in Kyiv, he added that “today is one of the most difficult moments in our history”. Reform UK leader Mr Farage has now taken to X to make his feelings clear on the Ukraine peace plan from Mr Trump.

He wrote: “Ukraine being asked to halve the size of its Army is unacceptable.

“I am waiting to see a counterproposal from @ZelenskyyUaโ€™s government.”
