Nigel Farage says he wants Iran’s regime ‘wiped out’ | Politics | News

Reform UK Nigel Farage has described his hopes that the regime in control of Iran will get โ€œwiped outโ€. Mr Farage said the people of Iran โ€œdeserve betterโ€ than the theocratic government whose nuclear programme is now the target of Israeli bombing raids.

He said he is not โ€œpro de-escalationโ€ and said he wanted to see an end to the regime. His comments come as President Trump keeps the world guessing about his intentions.

The US President is demanding an โ€œunconditional surrenderโ€ by Iran. When asked whether the United States will get involved in the military action, President Trump said: โ€œI may do it, I may not do it. Nobody knows what I want to do.โ€

Speaking at a net zero event in London, Mr Farage said: โ€œGod knows what will happen with Iran. Hopefully it will get wiped out very shortly.

โ€œIโ€™m not pro de-escalation. Letโ€™s get rid of this bloody awful [regime].โ€

He added: โ€œI think the lovely Persian people deserve better.โ€
