Packers vs. Lions live updates: NFL Thanksgiving game score, prediction, odds and latest
DETROIT โ Penei Sewell knew before anyone else did.
As the offensive line kindly escorted its star running back to the second level of the defense, Sewell became a bystander like everyone else at Ford Field. His job was done. He signaled touchdown before the officials could. All that was left was to sit back, relax and witness the budding greatness of Jahmyr Gibbs.
โOnce heโs past the linebacker, you just see the amount of space there is between him and the safety,โ Sewell told The Athletic, after Gibbsโ game-winning touchdown in overtime against the New York Giants. โHe was gone.โ
His final destination, of course, was the end zone. Gibbs finished with 264 scrimmage yards and three touchdowns Sunday. The Lions needed every one of them, en route to a 34-27 comeback win over the Giants.
