PM knew what Mandelson was like – he’s either stupid or thinks we are | Politics | News

Can’t decide whether Keir Starmer is terminally stupid or he just thinks we all are. I watched his rambling press conference this week – which was supposed to be about the government’s £800million initiative to save the High Street (which wouldn’t need saving if Wrecker Reeves hadn’t taxed businesses to hell and back) – and concluded he’s not just THE most disastrous PM in history he’s also a morally bankrupt coward who is 100% self-serving and will do anything to cling onto power.

First, he apologised to all Epstein’s victims for what happened to them, which had absolutely nothing to do with him or his job as PM and nothing to do with the high street initiative he was launching. Then he rambled on about how his government had saved the country (Eh?) – he talked about immigration, the cost-of-living crisis, even Palestine got a mention. But then came the self-serving bit when he tried to tell us he had no clue as to the extent of Mandelson’s relationship with Epstein when he appointed him US ambassador.

“He lied to me,” said Starmer, pretending it was a shock that a bloke famed for lying would lie. He then had the audacity to blame the vetting procedure for Mandelson getting away with lying about his friendship with Epstein.

So, what is this vetting procedure? Was it Starmer saying to Mandelson: “Peter are you up to your neck in it with that paedo?” Mandelson: “Absolutely not. Barely knew him”. Starmer: “Go on then, you’ve got the job. He then dobbed MI5 and MI6 in it for not telling him Mandelson was a bad ‘un even though they didn’t properly vet him until AFTER Starmer gave him the job. It was the Cabinet Office’s responsibility to compile a report which it did and which told Starmer about Mandelson’s close and ongoing relationship with Epstein.

It also presented him with a list of risks which Starmer ignored and then catapulted Mandelson into the job – because he needed him to build bridges between him and Trump! But to pretend he didn’t know about Mandelson’s relationship with Epstein is an insult to the intelligence of the British people. We’ve all known about it for years – how didn’t he?

Starmer knew exactly what Mandelson was and, like so many other Labour politicians now pretending to be reaching for the smelling salts at discovering just how dark the Prince of Darkness is, he used his talents when it suited him.

Everyone knew Mandelson was an evil genius and Labour politicians were queuing up to weaponise his evil when they needed it to boost their careers. Just look at the hypocrite Wes Streeting this week – traipsing around TV studios pretending to be on the verge of tears at the shock of Mandelson’s betrayal, omitting to mention he’s also spent the week deleting photographs of him and his “mentor” Mandelson having fun together.

It was only a few months ago Starmer referred to Mandelson as “Our friend Peter”. Now he spits out the word “Mandelson” like its poison. And it may well just be the poison that finally does for him. And it should. Because this saga has shown we have a morally-bankrupt PM who is without a shred of integrity and who will shaft anyone and everyone (including the security services) to cling onto power.

He’s even pretending he can’t show us the documents surrounding Mandelson’s appointment because it might hamper the police investigation. Tosh! Those papers will be kept hidden for the simple reason they’ll expose Starmer’s lies. Bottom line here. Even if he knew nothing of the detail about the MandelsonEpstein friendship, the PM should never have appointed the best mate of a paedophile to high office. End of!
