PMQs LIVE: Kemi Badenoch faces Keir Starmer at first Commons clash since elections | Politics | News

Kemi Badenoch will take on Keir Starmer at Prime Minister’s Questions in the Commons today, in their first showdown since last Friday’s seismic local elections.

Both party leaders received a drubbing at the hands of the electorate, though Ms Badenoch lost far more seats to Reform UK.

Mr Farage will not receive a question and be allowed to capitalise on his astonishing victory, after receiving his allocated slot last week.

Ms Badenoch may be tempted to ask Sir Keir about news this week he’s now considering a partial u-turn on his disastrous decision to slash Winter Fuel Payments for the elderly, after many Labour MPs said it had come up again and again on voters’ doorsteps.

She may also raise the row about his new trade deal with India, which has been slammed for cutting National Insurance for Indian workers while clobbering British businesses with hikes.
