When Arsenal are 1-0 up, there is a good chance one of their defenders — or goalkeeper David Raya — have been among their stand-out players and today is no different.

Gabriel, who has enjoyed a tremendous season, has been superb in the heart of their defence with several key tackles and blocks. The best of them was a sliding challenge to deny Desire Doue after a dangerous run into the Arsenal penalty area.

You would imagine the big Brazilian will have to play a starring role again in the second half if Arsenal are to lift this trophy for the first time.

An honourable mention here for Kai Havertz who produced the only bit of genuine attacking quality to open the scoring early on.
