Reform’s Zia Yusuf tells Keir Starmer the precise reason Labour are ‘heading for oblivion’ | Politics | News

In a response to a report by The Times claiming Labour is being struck by a ‘Green wave’, Mr Yusuf said on X: “Oh dear Keir.”

The head of Reform’s ‘DOGE’ taskforce said Labour and the Tories are “heading for oblivion”.

Pointing out why he believes this is the case, Mr Yusuf said on X: “This is what happens when political leaders believe in nothing and just get blown around.”

Left-wing voters are moving to the Greens from Labour as they are disappointed in the party’s tilt towards the right on issues like welfare and migration, The Times reported.

It said polling analysis found the number of Labour voters at the 2024 general election who now plan to vote for the Greens had more than doubled in 10 months.

One Labour official said Sir Keir Starmer’s party is “haemorrhaging” voters to the Greens, claiming it is “totally obsessed with Reform”.

Reform has had a very successful 2025 which included making significant gains in May’s local elections across England.

The party won more than 600 seats and took control of 10 local authorities, such as Kent County Council (KCC) after overturning a 30-year Tory majority.

However, there was chaos on Monday as four Reform KCC councillors were suspended after a video of their council leader telling members to “suck it up” was leaked to the press.
