Ronda Rousey isnโt the only Olympic medalist with a key role here tonight. Jutta Leerdam, who won a gold and a silver in speedskating at the Milan-Cortina Games in February, is here alongside her fiancรฉ, Jake Paul, as they sit cageside (aka hexagonside) in recliners that look a lot like they came off the set of NBCโs โThe Voice.โ
Leerdam set an Olympic record in her 1,000-meter final in Milan, bettering a teammateโs mark that had also gone under the previous record. She also won a silver in the 500-meter race and earned a silver in the 1000m in 2022.
She was overjoyed during her wins in Milan, and Paul was right there with her in tearful celebration. They announced their engagement last year.
Rousey won a judo bronze during the 2008 Games in Beijing in the 70-kilogram division.
