White working class boys are the victims of “racism and sexism” which only a Reform government will fight, the party’s education spokesman Suella Braverman has declared.

She vowed to end “demonisation” holding back white children, if Reform win power.

Ms Braverman, a former Conservative Home Secretary who quit the Tories, said other parties were unwilling to admit the problem exists – despite vast array of official data showing white boys from disadvantaged backgrounds perform worse than any other section of society.

Only 36 per cent of white British boys on free school meals reached the expected standard in GCSE maths and English, compared with 65 per cent of all pupils, according to the Department for Education figures. And their results are worse than those of low-income pupils from ethnic minorities.

Research has also found that white working class boys on free school meals are among the least likely to remain in education after the age of 16.

Ms Braverman said: “The facts are damning. The data speaks for itself. White working class bots are persistentluy failed by our schools.”

But she warned: “A lot of people don’t want to talk about the abandonment of white working class boys. It doesn’t fit the fashionable narrative.”

She said equality laws had been introduced “with noble intentions … but what it did in practice was to institutionalise anti-white racism and anti-male sexism.”

As a result, public bodies ranging from the RAF to the Bank of England had introduced internships or employment schemes which were explicitly designed to exclude white men, she said.

In addition, schools were openly discriminating against white boys, she said.

“In some of the schools around the country, what you have seen is a demonisation of boys and an attempt to push boys down rather than acknowledge their skills.

“Our children are being told how evil the British Empire was. They are being taught to loathe, not to love, their country.”
