Tino Bellot begins professional boxing career with win

After enduring a year of frustration it was definitely worth the wait for the 22-year-old cruiserweight prospect from Paddington who fully dominated India’s Akashdeep Singh during his lethal 2.19 stoppage victory in the fourth and final round.

Bellot, promoted by Warren Boxing Management, jointly owned by Alfie and Sonny Warren – nephews of ‘Hall Of Fame Promoter’ Frank – described the moment when he finally ended Singh’s tough evening at the iconic home of British boxing.

“I broke him apart throughout the fight and he (Singh) had nothing left in the tank by the fourth round,” said Bellot whose debut was televised on BoxNation and appeared on the undercard of Ilford fighter Umar Khan’s WBC Youth world featherweight title success over Ryan Griffiths.

“A lot of quality work has been shown in the gym so it was finally good to get out there and showcase that in front of thousands of people.”

Sonny Warren, who is hoping to get Bellot back out on WBM’s Box Academy bill on February 15 at Harrow Leisure Centre, was also impressed with the Paddington man’s debut victory.

“I’m happy he worked long and hard and the way he stopped him because for me that was a brilliant debut,” said Warren.

“You can go on longer instead of hitting someone and getting them out in the first round because you get more rounds under your belt and learn better.”

Meanwhile at The Ring Magazine 2025 awards, at the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, former Dale Youth ABC’s Daniel Dubois won the Knockout of the Year section following his successful IBF world heavyweight title defence over former Finchley ABC’s Anthony Joshua last September at Wembley Stadium.

The 27-year-old next defends his belt against New Zealand’s Joseph Parker on February 22.

*Daniel Dubois claims he has taken Tyson Furyโ€™s mantle as promoter Frank Warrenโ€™s number one boxer following Furyโ€™s shock announcement that he has retired from the sport.

Providing an exclusive comment to the BetVictor boxing team, Dubois firmly believes he is now the flagbearer for Warrenโ€™s Queensbury Promotions camp and is determined to further showcase his talents on the worldโ€™s stage.

He said: โ€œFury has now retired and was a legend of the sport and with him out of the way I think that puts me at the top.โ€
