Everton have made their biggest buy under David Moyes by bringing in striker Thierno Barry from Villarreal for £27m.

Napoli have renewed their interest in Manchester United and Argentina winger Alejandro Garnacho.

The Mirror claims that the Italian side would hope to sign the player for £45m, which would appear a respectable fee for a player than is keen to leave Old Trafford.

And with Bryan Mbeumo poised to join the Red Devils, Garnacho’s exit could facilitate that move and more to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s squad.

It looks as if Newcastle could tie up the signing of Anthony Elanga from Nottingham Forest in the coming days, with the Sweden international having flown north to Tyneside to complete a move reportedly worth £55m.

The equation is clear for Manchester United in their pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo, it would seem.

After having two bids rejected for the Brentford man, the London club are holding out for £65m, according to the Mirror.

The Premier League club’s stance is to offer €65m, with potential performance-related add-ons of €5m and €10m.

That takes the overall value of Arsenal’s package to €80m, but Sporting’s hard line is that they want €70m guaranteed, with no add-ons.
