The NFL Combine is an important event on the sports calendar, but some of the most impactful events of the week are partly influenced by a restaurant.
Mike Silver takes you behind the scenes at St. Elmo Steak House in Indianapolis during NFL Scouting Combine week, a place where agents, GMs, coaches and players congregate ahead of the opening of free agency and the NFL Draft.
The restaurant has been around for 124 years and one week a year hosts the other side of the combine where coaches and talent evaluators meet up with the media and agents.
โItโs really one of our busiest weeks of the year, but at times you are walking by and for people that even I recognize, seeing them deep in conversation, you know somethingโs going down,โ St. Elmo general manager Richard Edwards said.
