‘Wet noodle’ Keir Starmer’s attack on ‘racist’ Reform will backfire | Politics | News

Sir Keir Starmerโs attack on Reformโs โracistโ immigration plans will โbackfireโ on him at the ballot box. Ex-Brexit Party MEP Belinda de Lucy accused the Prime Minister of trying to “weaponise” the word and attacked the Left for creating a “hierarchy of victimhoodโ based on race.
Responding to Sir Keirโs attack on the Daily Expresso, our weekday news show on YouTube, de Lucy said it was like a โwet noodleโ going up against a boxing glove.
She said: โKeir’s attempt to weaponise the word racist against the British people is just going to backfire. It backfired on Hillary Clinton back in 2016, when she called half of Trump’s voters deplorables and look what happened to her.
โThe audacity of Keir Starmer and Labour accusing Reform of being racist when it is their identity politics that created the hierarchy of victimhood based on race, which sucked for thousands of white working class girls in Rotherham and Rochdale and the like.
โThey created the diversity, equity and inclusion, which literally says to people of colour and women, you don’t have what it takes to get to the top on your own, we need to sneak you in the back door.
โWhereas we believe whatever race, whatever sex you are, you can be as bright and brilliant as each other. And it is the Left that constantly runs the narrative of an anti-white majority.
โSo if the countryside is racist just because the majority of whites live there โฆ everything is negatively connected to majority white people. And that’s all coming from the Left. So Reformโs policy has nothing to do with race.
โSo if he (Starmer) wants to pick a fight over it, he has no authority to talk about racism and it would be like a wet noodle against the boxing glove of Nigel Farage.”
De Lucy added: โThey are in complete control of their borders. They’ve decided to open them. So it’s not a case of them giving up or being out of control.โ
Sir Keir described Reform UKโs immigration policy, which would include scrapping indefinite leave to remain, as โracistโ and โimmoralโ.
Zia Yusuf, Reform UKโs head of policy, said: โLabourโs message to the country is clear: pay hundreds of billions for foreign nationals to live off the state forever or Labour will call you racist.
โReformโs plan will ensure only British people can access welfare and that migrants contribute to society.โ
