Wimbledon 2025 live: Tennis scores and results Kartal faces Tomova and Norrie plays Tiafoe after rain delay
Kartal saves break point to hold
Brilliant recovery by Kartal, who turns the game around for an important hold to start this set, and thatโs five games on the trot for the 23-year-old.

Tomova fighting back in set two
Kartal is constructing her points brilliantly, using the whole width of the court and manoeuvring her opponent from side to side.
An inch-perfect, huge forehand down the line by Tomova stops the rot, and another fine cross-court winner shows sheโs still in this.
She forces Kartal wide on the baseline and the Brit skews her reply long… and another error gives Tomova a break point.

Tight start on Centre
An even start on Centre, where Aryna Sabalenka and the Czech world No 46 Marie Bouzkova โ a semi-finalist here two years ago โ share some confident early holds.

Norrie drops first set to Tiafoe
It will be an uphill battle from here for Norrie, if he is to advance to the third round.
The Briton sees Tiafoe hold to love to take the first set 6-4.

Kartal breaks to take first set
Kartalโs serving really made the difference there: 72% first serves in, 77% first serves won. A great start to her second-round match.
Mimi Xu is in attendance on court 3 too: plenty of Brits out to support the British No 3.

Famous races in the Royal Box
Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, England football manager Thomas Tuchel and actors Dominic Cooper and Leslie Mann are among the stars spotted arriving at Wimbledon on Wednesday.
Olympic gold medallist Tom Daley was also seen entering the grounds in the morning, ahead of another packed day of tennis at SW19.
Guests appeared more formally dressed than in recent days, with many opting for suits and jackets in the cooler conditions, a change from Tuesday’s 34.2C heat.
Some of the recognisable faces in the Royal Box on Centre Court today:

Kartal breaks to take first set
Kartal, who always looks pretty relaxed, looks really confident and composed out there. Tomovaโs grunting has gone up a few decibels in frustration and the drop shot, which has worked well for her so far, thumps into the net to compound her woes.
She nets twice more in succession and that hands over another break and the set!

Fonseca, Keys lead
Letโs take a quick look around the other courts… Australian Open champion and sixth seed Madison Keys leads Olga Danilovic 5-3 and is serving for a one-set lead, while Brazilian wunderkind Joao Fonseca is 5-4 up on unorthodox American player Jenson Brooksby and also serving for the set.
Nicolas Jarry, conqueror of eighth seed Holger Rune, is 4-2 up on American youngster Learner Tien and 29th seed Leylah Fernandez is down a break against Laura Siegemund.

Kartal backs up break
A much more comfortable service hold for Kartal, having been down 0-30 in her previous two. She varies things up with a drop shot that Tomova does well to make – but sends wide.
A smart backhand cross-court seals a hold to love and a healthy lead in this first set.
