Winter Olympics 2026 live updates: Latest from Day 3 of the Games including womenโ€™s freestyle skiing slopestyle

Day 3 of the 2026 Winter Olympics features a packed slate, with five gold medals due to be handed out.

One of those golds went to Switzerland’s Mathilde Gremaud who edged out China superstar Eileen Gu in the women’s freeski slopestyle to defend her title. It came down to the final run but an early fall for Gu meant gold for her greatest rival, while Canada’s Megan Oldham took the bronze.

The next gold medal will be awarded in the men’s Alpine skiing combined team event where Italy hold the advantage after Giovanni Franzoni went fastest in this morning’s downhill.

Todayโ€™s schedule is headlined by four womenโ€™s hockey matches, with Team USA in action at 2:40 p.m. ET, so stay tuned.

  • How to watch: NBC, Peacock, USA Network (US), Warner Bros Discovery, HBO Max, Eurosport (Europe), CBC, Bell Media, Rogers Media (Canada).
