West Ham captain Jarrod Bowen has spoken to Sky Sports after his side’s relegation and admitted standards haven’t been high enough this season.

💬 “I feel hurt. It’s a horrible place to be. We did enough today in terms of the result but in terms of the season, we haven’t done enough to pick up the points.

“When you go out on the pitch it’s about the players putting in consistently better performances and results. We managed to wriggle out of it last season. The standards consistently haven’t been good enough.

“I’m under contract here. This is a low moment which will outweigh everything. I see getting this club back in the Premier League, where it deserves to be. You never know what the future holds, manager, players.

“But for me, I want to see this club back in the Premier League. We need to stay with our families and loves ones, recover and prepare well, got to get promoted (next season) now.”
